ABOUT

Makintosh is an Australian, Sydney-based label founded by Chris Mak in 2021. The label embodies a clean aesthetic infused with an unconventional touch that reimagines the classic suiting for every season. Explored through a myriad of deconstructive techniques- the notion of dissecting and reassembling and a curated selection of luxurious fabrications, there is a strong presence of severe tailoring involved in every collection. With a focus on quiet luxury, Makintosh's logo is the experimental utilisation of pinstripes which are derived from menswear wool tailoring fabrications reinforcing a discreet brand representation. Pinstripes are interwoven through all collections experimented through from print to tactile combinations and have developed into a part of the Makintosh brand identity.

Under three sublines, the Makintosh label is divided into the "Black line", "Primary line" and "Tertiary line" each represented through the cuboid-coloured logo. Each line focuses on a different category of ready-to-wear and accessories and is identified through the internal label of the garment.
